According to Harris County Sheriff Policy 417 - ShotSpotter GunShot Detection System, “the GDS Manager will continually review the performance of the GDS and will notify the Sheriff of system failure, will compile reports as needed regarding the system, be responsible for the interface with the vendor, and schedule or facilitate training for the GDS operations.”
Records responsive to request O098064-080623 provided the performance reports for 2023.
Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all reports and performance reviews of the ShotSpotter system submitted by the Gunshot Detection System Manager to the Sheriff from the date ShotSpotter was first installed through and 12/31/2022.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.
