Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Compensation data for all employees of the Harris County, TX Sheriff's Department for the most recent year in which complete data are available (preferably 2020).
Specifically, I request that these data include, for each employee: Name, Job Title, Earnings (required), and age, gender, ethnicity, and hire date (if available).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

I submitted the following freedom of information act request to the Harris County Sheriff's Department and was told that their office does not have any records responsive to the request. Are these records that your office keeps as part of payroll management, and are you able to fill this request?

Good morning,
You have reached the Harris County Auditor's Office. Harris County implemented a new ERP system starting 3/1/2020, and we and our computer department are working to develop a year-to-date earnings report; however, the report is still under development, so we will have to get back with you on updates of its development. In the interim, please advise of whether you can use 2019 data instead. If not, you may check back with us next month to see if the 2020 data is available. Please advise of how you would like to proceed.
