Pursuant to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Use of force data with detail summaries for all use of force incidents from 2008-2016. Please provide the following details for each incident:

Date (year, month, day) of the incident, subject race, officer race, type of force used, whether there was subject injury, and whether there was officer injury.

I prefer csv spreadsheet format (or pdf) where each row represents an incident. Here is an example of the data I'm looking for (https://www.dallasopendata.com/Public-Safety/Police-2015-Response-to-Resistance/594v-2cnd).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

Per the Indiana Access to Public Records Act (APRA) request we are sending you this acknowledgment. The actual response will be completed in a reasonable amount of time as we will have to 1) review the request 2) determine whether we have documents responsive to the request 3) confirm there is no exception to APRA that would apply, and 4) accumulate the documents and transmit them to you. We will give you an estimated cost in advance and will require that be paid in advance. Lt. Kellogg of the Hammond PD and Ms. Levinson, attorney for the Hammond P.D. have been copied to assist you. They have both worked with muckrock requests in the past.
