Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All contracts (and their amendments) and memorandums of understanding entered into by Hall County (Georgia) for services and activities related to the North Georgia Detention Center (https://www.ice.gov/detention-facility/north-georgia-detention-center)
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Hi.
North Georgia Detention Center is not a Hall County operation. Hall County leased the building to Corrections Corporation of America.
The only documents that Hall County will have is the an agreement between Hall County Sheriff’s Office and CCA, a Memorandum of Understand, a few letters, and probably a lease agreement. I won’t know, exactly, until I actually begin to fill the request.
The approximate cost is $50.00.

Do you have any sense for whether there would be materials related to the initiation of the lease? For example, if Hall County released an RFP or other bidding notification to which CCA responded?
