Mr. Barnes:

This email is in response to your Open Records Act request submitted on April 19, 2018. This response is being made within three (3) business days of your request, in which you asked for "All student organization registrations, requests for funding, and/or budgets submitted by the Students for Justice in Palestine student organization at the University of Georgia between the dates of 1/1/2016 and 4/19/2018." Documents responsive to your request exist and are being produced with this email.

Please note that pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-72(a)(20)(A) personal email addresses and cellular telephone numbers were redacted from this response. The attached documents include some student information which is characterized as "Directory Information" and therefore not subject to the exclusions from production found in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act incorporated into Georgia law via OCGA 50-18-72(a)(1) and (37). Note that some of the student names require additional information in order to determine if there is a "no release of directory information" designation on those particular records, and those names have been redacted. The Office of the Registrar of the University of Georgia is continuing to work on identifying those students and anticipates having an update within five (5) business days. If those names can be released at that time we will provide you with an updated report without redactions.

Please note that pursuant to UGA policy, the students who had their directory information released as part of this request were notified prior to this production.

The cost for search, retrieval, and production of this request is two (2) hours at $38/hr, minus the first quarter-hour, for a total of $66.50. Please remit $66.50, payable to the University of Georgia and sent to my attention at the address in my signature below.
