Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Dr. Lee B. Kennett was Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Georgia. This is a request for a record that documents the source of his undergraduate and graduate academic degrees in order to complete an online biography of Dr. Kennett. A single record is sufficient.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

This is in response to your June 24, 2022, request for documents under the Georgia Open Records Act, and is in accordance with the three-day period of response pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71(b)(2).
You have requested "a record that documents the source his (Dr. Lee B. Kennett...Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Georgia) undergraduate and graduate academic degrees."
With respect to your request, please know that we have reached out to units/departments where responsive records may exist so that we can prepare search, retrieval, review, and production time/cost estimates. At this point we should mention that there may be exemptions to disclosure of any responsive documents in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72(a)(1), (20)(A), (21), and (37).
Also, please understand that many UGA personnel are out of the office during this time. We appreciate your understanding as we process your request.
We anticipate having an update for you by July 13, 2022, if not sooner.
