Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All emails, text messages and correspondence regarding the cancelation of Political Rewind with Bill Nigut and related programming changes at Georgia Public Broadcasting from May 1, 2023 to the present. This would include emails and text messages between employees and Commissioners (Brian Dill, Jerald Mitchell, Cecil Staton) of the Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission, also known as Georgia Public Broadcasting, employees of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (employees possessing email addresses that end in @ajc.com), Cox Media Group (@cmg.com or @coxmediagroup.com), and Cox Enterprises (@coxinc.com, @cox.com, and @coxenterprises.com), the Gov.'s office and any members of the state legislature including panelists on the show.
Also any correspondence with NPR, the NPR Board of Directors, NPR's Public Editor, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting over the cancelation.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
