From: GERALDINE HOUDE

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

The missing person's report regarding Theresa Corley, Bellingham MA filed on or about December 5, 1978. The log book entries for December 3rd and 4th 1978

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not made for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

GERALDINE HOUDE

From: Franklin Police Department

Good Morning Geraldine,
Per your request listed above; the log of Theresa Corley being reported
missing is attached. Ms. Corley was reported missing on December 6, 1978.
I also contacted NCIC/CJIS to do an offline search for the TT entry and
they do not go back that far due to the fact of the missing person being
found. If a person is still missing then the record stays active.
The logs for December 3 and 4 1978 are also attached.
Please let me know if we can be of further assistance.
Best Regards,
Kristin

Hi Kristin,

Thanks so much for your help with this request. I really appreciate it. I have a podcaster that is doing a podcast on Theresa and the previous log entries looked like they said my family inquired about her missing on the 5th.

Sincerely,
GERALDINE HOUDE

From: Franklin Police Department

I'm attaching the 5th for you also. The log for the entry into TT which is
now NCIC was on the one I sent you this morning from the 6th.
Best,
Kristin

Hi again Kristen,
please see the image below, the header says December 5th 1978 and that was from a FOIA request I made a couple of years ago. The log you sent today dated December 5th 1978 does not match what is below.
Am I missing something?
Gerri Houde

From: Franklin Police Department

No you are correct; I was wrong I thought that was the log from the 6th.
It is so hard to scan the long pages. Best,
Kristin

Thank you again, I appreciate all your efforts, would it be better if I come in and get copies? I only ask because the 3rd and 4th have no headers on them with the dates.
And I am just wondering, the best you can ascertain from what you see, is that my sister reported Theresa missing on the 5th?

From: Franklin Police Department

Hi Gerri,
I will leave printed copies up front for you. You can pick them up at any
time.
Best,
Kristin
