Pursuant to the South Carolina Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
I am requesting any and all communication regarding the planning, funding, installation, uses (excluding active investigations), data storage methods, and data preservation policies regarding the Automated License Plate Reader System and Cameras on Folly Road in the City of Folly Beach.
As per this article, https://www.postandcourier.com/news/folly-to-start-tracking-comings-and-goings-with-license-plate/article_6bb63490-f3a1-11e6-8583-db1542555abe.html the City of Folly Beach is using an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system on Folly Road just past Crosby’s Seafood.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.
