Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
All emails sent to and from staff of the Agency for Healthcare Administration related to the May 2022 report, "Effects of gender affirming therapies in people with gender dysphoria: evaluation of the best available evidence" by Romina Brignardello-Petersen and Wojtek Wiercioch. This includes any and all emails sent to and from Romina Brignardello-Petersen and Wojtek Wiercioch concerning the research behind the report; any and all emails sent to and from staff members involved in the research, writing, commissioning, and publication of the report; and any and all emails to and from outside groups providing information for the report.
I kindly request that the information be provided in an electronic format, delivered by email attachment or secure file-sharing platform. If this is not possible, please provide them in USB flash drive or CD-ROM. Please provide these records and materials on a rolling basis, as soon as they are available.
I request a fee waiver as this research is part of a journalistic effort that is in the public interest, and since any recovered materials will be made public. My prior work on gender-affirming care has been published in The Atlantic, New York Magazine, and other major outlets. This request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I am open to discussing any reasonable modifications to this request that would help expedite the process or clarify its scope.
