Hi Jennifer,
How do you typically release police/incident reports? In my experience these documents are a matter of public record, so I'm a little confused by the exemption.
Thanks for any insight!
From: Flint Police Dept.
Records can not be released until the police department has completed their
investigation because doing so will interfere with their investigation. The
records that you requested are part of an open investigation and are
therefore exempt.
