Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Metadata for all email communications sent or received, including being CCed or BCCed, by John Butler sent or received between 7/1/2018 and 4/15/2023 containing at least one of the following keywords: "Amazon", "Neighbors App" and "Ring".
The specific metadata data points I'm interested in are: to address(es), from address, cc address(es), bcc address(es), sent date/time, received date/time, subject line, and if there is an email attachment. This request does not seek the contents of the emails themselves, and only the specified email metadata. Please provide me with the records in an Excel format.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Please note that once DIT collects the metadata records, a subject matter expert must review each record to determine: if it is a "public record" as defined in Va. Code § 2.2-3701, if it is responsive to the scope of your request, and if so, whether it is subject to any exemptions. Staff time for such review will cost the County approximately $19.43 for 30 minutes. The total advance estimate is $42.32.
