Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
-All Civilian Complaints filed against the Everett Police Department for the years 2012-2017
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Ms. Russell,
EPD is in receipt of your public records request for "All Civilian Complaints filed against the Everett Police Department for the years 2012-2017". Please clarify for EPD if you are seeking the actual hard copies of civilian complaints or would a generated report that articulates the complaint, any allegations and disposition satisfy your request? EPD finds that more often than not, requestors are not interested in receiving actual investigations, but more looking for a report that provides the elements they are seeking. EPD's fees are .15cents for hard copy records, .10cents for scanned records, and no cost to inspect records at EPD.
