On August 30, 2022, I received a public records request from you pertaining to a fatal crash that occurred on August 3, 2022, in the area of State Road 19 and State Road 119. Your request was for the following:
“Pursuant to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1.) Any and all police reports, police complaints, and police narratives regarding the 08/03/2022 car accident involving Jackie Walorski. The crash occurred on State Road 19, which is an Indiana highway.

Time of incident: Between 11:30PM - 12:45PM

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is committed to following Indiana’s Access to Public Records Act (APRA) that is outlined in I.C. 5-14-3. According to I.C. 5-14-3-3, any person may inspect and copy the public records of any public agency during the regular business hours of the agency except as provided in I.C. 5-14-3-4.
