Pursuant to the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A list of all criminal cases prosecuted by your office in which Dorchester County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Shawn Angelo, PFC Silas Carter, or Reserve PFC David Hunt appeared as the prosecuting witness, or as another witness for the prosecution, or was the author of the prosecuting affidavit or similar charging document.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Mr. Lartey,

I have had an opportunity to check with our records personnel along with the administrator of our records program. The records that you are requesting , “a list of all criminal cases prosecuted by your office in which Dorchester County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Shawn Angelo, PFC Silas Carter, or Reserve PFC David Hunt appeared as the prosecuting witness, or as another witness for the prosecution, or was the author of the prosecuting affidavit or similar charging document”, are not records that are kept by the First Circuit Solicitor’s Office. Additionally, while we are able to search our pending and closed cases by several categories, the arresting officer and/or prosecuting witness, is not one of them. You may want to contact the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office to obtain this information.
