From:

Dear Ms. Betlej -

Your request made pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act was forwarded to me for acknowledgement, review and response.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your emailed request dated August 5, 2020 for information made in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA").

I will speak to the Clerk to discover what documents exist that would be responsive to your request. Please note that the FOIA only requires a municipality to provide documents that exist and in the possession of control of the municipality. Please also note that the City can only provide you the information that is in the form of a discoverable public record and cannot confirm whether the phone numbers or email address in those documents are current.

Additionally, the documents may, or may not contain the current leadership in the DTC and RTC. These town committees exist in accordance with the state statutes governing political town committees. The City does not receive agendas or minutes of these committee's meeting and therefore cannot know if there was a change of leadership since the last statutorily required document was filed.

Once I have received information from the clerk's office, we can discuss if there is a charge for the request and whether a waiver of that charge is justified.

Sincerely,

Vincent M. Marino, Esq
Corporation Counsel
