Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Letters, emails, notes, internal memos or other correspondence in connection with Liquor Control Referrals similar to the referral noted on this Health Department Order from August 30, 2018. This would be evidenced by DCP Liquor Control or similar appearing in the CC section or TO section of any Cease and Desist or Order of Suspension. See attached copy of example documents.
Please include reference to any documents withheld including reason for exemption.
All documents inclusive of January 2016 to the present.
I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. ยง 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

I am in receipt of a FOIA request, received 9/6/2022, referencing letters,
emails, notes, internal memos or other correspondence in connection with
Liquor Control Referrals similar to the referral noted on the mentioned
Health Department Order from August 30, 2018, evidenced by DCP Liquor

Dianne,
Please refer to the documents you provided as to correspondence with COUSIN LARRY'S CAFE.They are dated September 29, 2022. Cousin Larry's liquor permit expired in 2012.
Can you explain the following:
1. The reason an official letter to the establishment would be written in 2022.
2. The reason the letter is not on current letterhead and does not bear the current Health Director's signature.
3. The reason there are references to 2015 and 2016.
I would like to see the original document. Please let me know when a convenient time would be for myself or a representative would be able to do so.

Mr. Paige, as you may know, a public agency is not required to provide
explanations or create written responses to questions in FOi requests.
However to clear up confusion about the dates of the documents, when I
downloaded the emails, some of the documents autopopulated with the current
date in 2022- as you may know, it is a common macro field on
correspondence, and it is one that I cannot undo. .
