Good morning, Mr. Spies:

We have received the follow-up email regarding your initial request for the number of "stand your ground" motions filed in the Louisiana 22nd Judicial District since 2006.

As we stated in our same-day response to your original request on May 1, we consulted with our Chief Criminal Prosecutor, who informs us that Louisiana does not have a "Stand Your Ground" statute.

This office does not track the specific types of motions that are filed in our court cases.

Please see our initial response, which is attached for your convenience.

With this response we consider your public records request to be closed.

P.S. If you are keeping track of state-by-state, district-by-district requests, this response came to us in the Louisiana 22nd District, and we responded although the reference was to Alabama's "stand your ground" law. We have also received a similar request referencing Arkansas. Please check the Louisiana 22nd off your response list.
