Hi Denise,

Thank you for your response, looking for clarification.

Please conduct this search on all email addresses of staff employed by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services during the listed period, of January 1st 2022 to December 31st 2022.

Thank you again for your help with this matter,

Sincerely,

From: Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

DMHAS is a large agency. The average number of staff during that period was approximately 3234. As staff come and go, the actual number is likely to be even higher than this.

Please clarify whether you are requesting that every email box of staff employed during this time frame be searched. Thank you.

From: Jesse Singal

I am, thank you.

From: Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

Please be aware that DMHAS requires a clarification regarding your request. DMHAS is a large agency. The average number of staff during the period of time requested was approximately 3234. As staff come and go, the actual number is likely to be even higher than this.

Please clarify whether you are requesting that every email box of every staff member employed during this time frame be searched. Thank you.

Thank you for this follow-up. Yes, I am requesting that every email box of every staff member employed during this time frame be searched.

From: Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

As you did not provide a list of the names of staff for the requested search, we are following up internally to attempt to obtain a list of all employees for the time period you specified. We will continue following up on this.

From: Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

In your FOI request you indicated that you wanted email searches conducted of every DMHAS employee employed during a specific time frame.

As indicated below I have followed up internally to attempt to identify the names of all the employees during the time frame that you identified. I heard back from the last division, I was waiting to hear from, this morning.

I have been informed that DMHAS does not have a document containing all the employees names that corresponds to the specific time period that you have identified in your request. Identification of all the employees employed during that period of time would require analysis of multiple lists to determine all employees that may have been involved during that period of time. It appears that the process of identifying all the individuals who were employed by DMHAS during the time frame you specified would involve research.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, DMHAS is not required to conduct research to respond to your request.

Therefore, could you please identify the names of the employees whose email boxes you want searched.

Thank you.
