To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Colorado Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

The booking photos, names and charges of those who were arrested at the anti-Trump protest nearby the Broadmoor World Arena.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello Andy-

The Colorado Springs Police Department ("CSPD") has received your records request dated February 25, 2020. The records you have requested are considered criminal justice records as defined in Colorado Revised Statute § 24-72-302(4) which are held in the sole possession of CSPD, a law enforcement agency. The Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act ("CCJRA") as codified in C.R.S. § 24-72-301 et. seq. governs the release of criminal justice records. The time response deadlines contained within CORA do not apply to requests for criminal justice records governed by the CCJRA.

In regards to your request, those arrested were cited and released, therefore no booking photos exist. Additionally, the CSPD has already released the names and ages of those involved on our social media pages. Please see: https://twitter.com/CSPDPIO/status/1230996844991246336
