Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:
According to public records, the CLEAR database contains two tables: contact_cards and contact_traffic_stops.
Therefore, for the years between 2014 to 2016, we request all records in both the contact_cards and contact_traffic_stops tables.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, in a tab delimitated or comma separated value (csv). Please be aware that this request is being made by the Lucy Parsons Labs, a registered non-profit in the state of IL.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Good morning,
I'd like to update you on the status of FOIA P058306. We have contact card datasets on file for 2014 and 2015, which were produced by Research and Development for a past FOIA request; 2016 is currently being processed by R&D for another FOIA request as well. In total, the two years of data that we have on file amount to over one million events. Given R&D's staffing shortage, producing these extensive datasets has taken several months to complete in full. As I note, 2016 is in the works at R&D but will take several more weeks to finalize.
In consideration of this situation, I would propose limiting this request to the 2014 and 2015 data sets that are already finished, so that we can provide you with responsive data in a timely manner. I have included the data set column headings in this email to help clarify what we have on file:
