Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:
From the CLEAR database or any database that contains these records, for the last five years and create a spreadsheet sufficient to show:
- The number of tickets issues for any bicycle related offense (riding on the sidewalk, etc).
- Any number of arrests related to bicycles and the issuing offense.
- The location of where the tickets where issued.
- If available, the race of the person who received the ticket
- If available, the age of the person who received the ticket
I understand these tickets maybe given as ANOVs and ANOVs may not in CLEAR, but it is understanding that CLEAR is the authoritative source for this information. Please query any database that may have this information.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. This request is being made by the Lucy Parsons Labs, a registered non-profit in the state of Illinois.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
