Pursuant to the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, I hereby request the following documents:

• All agreements between this agency and any federal agency for operations and activities related to Operation Desert Snow.

• All arrest reports for apprehensions conducted as part of Operation Desert Snow. [For reference: http://www.usmarshals.gov/news/chron/2015/060815a.htm]

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

I received your information request regarding Operation Desert Snow today. I did not sign any agreement with the United States Marshal Service regarding this operation. My deputies did participate with the US Marshals on this round up and I assume they did make arrests in my County. However, the US Marshalls ran the operation in its entirety and I have no knowledge of what, if any, arrest were made as part of Operation Desert Snow. Please make your request to the US Marshals Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico attn. Conrad Candelaria. If they can furnish names of any persons arrested in Chaves County New Mexico, I would be happy to see if any of them were arrested by my staff.
