Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
This request should be directed to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection. I am seeking the following as they pertain to the above department:
- A record of public records requests submitted to the above department that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the department's response for the years 2016, 2017 and 2018.
- Records of policies/procedures related to processing and approval/denial processes for public records requests used in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018.
- Records of total direct revenue and expenses (i.e., no including overhead) relating to the processing of public records requests in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Please note that we do not have records of revenue and expenses. We refer requestors to a third party to handle payments for items over the limit. In the Public Records Request Instructions, there are some items we use in our division for staff and the general public to reference.

I received the documents you sent. Thanks for the information. In my original request I also asked for a description of the request and the department's response. I don't see that information in the document you sent with requester's names, etc. Can that information be added to the document you sent?
Also, you said your agency uses a third party to collect expenses over the limit. Do they provide you with a total revenue amount? If so, I'd like a copy of the record that shows that total. Does your office keep track of expenses related to processing public records? If so, I'd like a copy of the record that shows that total.

Dear Ms. Marz,
In response to your follow up, we do not collect expenses nor do we track expenses related to processing public records.
The description of the request is in the subject column on the spreadsheet on the log, rather than a Phase I, or someone asking in regards to an address etc. If interested, we have years of hard (paper) copies available should you like to review them at our office in Carson City NV. Administrative staff may provide up to fifty 8½ x 11 copies for you, as staffing allows. Maps, bound reports, or copy requests over fifty pages must be sent to Nevada Blue, a local approved file reproduction company located at 280 E. Winnie Lane, Carson City, NV 89706, ph. 775-883-6011. Files released to Nevada Blue for reproduction must be returned to NDEP within 5 business days unless prior arrangements have been made.
Prior to the files being released, you must establish an account with Nevada Blue, arrange for file pick up, and approve applicable reproduction fees for the copies. Please know that the State of Nevada cannot contact Nevada Blue on your behalf or provide reimbursement for any cost incurred for reproduction of files.
