A blank version of all forms and logs used by this agency in relation unmarked vehicles, including all those used to track use, damage, and the inventory of vehicles.

All available data, reports, audits, and other aggregated information regarding this agency’s inventory and use of unmarked vehicles for the period from January 1, 2015 through July 31, 2020.

The Office of COMR is determining whether you seek copies of disclosable public records in the Department's possession. This will require personnel to search for and collect the requested records from offices that are separate from the office processing the request.

Additionally, COMR personnel must consult with other components of the Department that have a substantial subject matter interest therein. Accordingly, COMR is extending its 10-day response timeframe by an additional 14 days, as authorized by Government Code § 6253, Subdivisions (c)(1) and (c)(3).

As your request relates to Policy, COMR has compiled 86 pages of responsive documents.

As your request relates to Forms and Guidance, COMR has compiled 13 pages of responsive documents.

As your request relates to Data, the Department has no responsive documents.

As your request relates to Other, whether the Department does use unmarked vehicles in some form, your request does not reasonably describe an identifiable record and does not meet the requirement contained in Government Code 6253(b); rather, it seeks a yes-or-no answer. The documents compiled for the first two items of your request will demonstrate the affirmative answer.

The Office of COMR has determined the Department possess responsive records consisting of 99 pages. Please be advised certain material contained in various publications involve officer safety and/or internal security information. Such material, by statute (Government Code Section 6254[f]) and decisional law (Northern California Police Practices Project [NCPPP], et al., v. Glendon Craig, et al., 90 Cal.App.3d 116), is exempt from disclosure. Your records are being provided via electronic mail, at no cost, to the address stated in your request.
