Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. The number CHP 202 OPI 066 forms listing California Highway Patrol Officer Jamie Simonian, #22500, as an Arresting/Investigating officer from between August 20, 2021, through August 20, 2023, with a breakdown of the Race, Ethnicity, and/or National Origin of the arrested individual(s).
2. A copy of all CHP 202 OPI 066 forms listing California Highway Patrol Officer Jamie Simonian, #22500, as an Arresting/Investigating officer from between August 20, 2021, through August 20, 2023, with all identifying data of any civilians redacted except for the Race, Ethnicity, and/or National Origin of the driver of the vehicles stopped.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

To Whom it May Concern, The California Highway Patrol, Public Records Unit (PRU) received your request for records on September 10, 2023. On September 21, 2023, The PRU notified you, in writing, advising the 10-day response timeframe was being extended by an additional 14 days, as authorized by California Government Code section 7922.535, subsection (c)(1). Please accept this correspondence as a determination on your request. As your request relates to Item 1, the California Public Records Act does not require an agency to create a record that does not currently exist to satisfy a request. As your request relates to Item 2, the PRU has determined the Department possesses records responsive to your request. The requested records are being collected and will require review for redactions to comply with various provisions of law. The Department is committed to providing all records responsive to your request in a timely and efficient manner. As the PRU is still in the process of reviewing potentially responsive records, disclosures will be provided on a rolling basis.
