Hello Ms. Marzion,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! I'm actually looking for the documents produced by each enforcement of that statute.

If it helps, what I'm looking for in particular is any enforcement of a violation of Reg. 18215.2 (paid online speech), which I understand is enforced under 84211(k). I'm happy to dig through the documents myself though. Sorry about the mix up.

Best,
Alex Richardson

Hi Ms. Marzion,

Thanks for the quick response again. Should I take this to mean that the FPPC has never enforced Reg. 18215.2?

Best,
Alex Richardson

From: Zachary Norton

We do enforce this regulation; however the FPPC has not found a violation of the requirement to disclose compensated internet activity.

Hi Mr. Norton,

Thank you, that answers my question perfectly!

One final question while I have your attention - can you tell me where I would find disclosures under Reg. 18215.2? Presumably they must fill out some form that is publicly available.

Thanks again, you guys have been really helpful.

Best,
Alex Richardson

Mr. Richardson,

Any expenditures made for campaign related internet activity would need to be disclosed on the committee’s campaign filings, along with all other contributions and expenditures (i.e. semi-annual, pre-election campaign statements) and would be available through the appropriate filling officer.

Unpaid internet activity, as defined under Regulation 18215.2 (b) is not regulated as a contribution or independent expenditure under the Political Reform Act.
