From: Ian Carroll

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

- Any current CHP policies involving the use of officer body cameras, including when they should be and should not be recording, when they should be charged, any penalties for officers who do not comply, and any other operational policies around body cameras.
- Transcripts or logs of when the body camera assigned to officer badge numbers #22548 and #22094 were disabled and enabled, on the following dates: Thursday, February 11th, 2021, Friday, February 12th, 2021, Saturday, February 13th, 2021. Please provide the closest available record for this request; for example, if a transcript dedicated to timing of the camera being disabled and enabled does not exist, please produce a record such as a listing of all videos from the officer's body cameras for those days.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Ian Carroll
