To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
(1) Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, any and all records concerning hearings regarding the dismissal of any police chief conducted pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes, 7-278 since October 1, 1983.
(2) Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, any and all agreements and/or contracts regarding the employment of any police chief since October 1, 1983.
I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

We are in receipt of your FOIC request of June 28, 2021. The Town of Brookfield is reviewing whether or not there are records and what type of research may be necessary regarding the 38 year time span requested.

Pursuant to your FOI request, please find attached the Contract of Robin Montgomery, previous Police Chief and James Purcell, our current Police Chief. The only information I could find on our very first Police Chief was a Retirement Agreement from 2000. To my knowledge, there has never been a dismissal of any police chief.
