Auto-Response: BCSO
Hello Brian Dehn,
Thank you for contacting us. We have successfully received your public records request and will respond as soon as possible.
Requests for public records are processed in the order that they are received and can take up to 30 business days to be fulfilled and/or invoiced. Processing time may be longer due to the nature and extent of the request. Furthermore, the processing time may be affected by other business processes that have statutory and/or court ordered time limits for completion and, therefore, will take priority over a public records request.
Should your request require extensive clerical or supervisory costs, you will be provided an invoice for the estimated costs associated with your request; this estimate must be paid prior to the start of any records production.
The result for some requests requiring extensive clerical or supervisory labor may be negative and BCSO may not have records responsive to the public records request. Deposits will not be returned for labor expended researching requests even if the search produces no responsive records.
Public records requests will be closed if the requesting party fails to pay the estimated or final invoice, or fails to respond to clarification inquiries pertaining to a public records request thirty (30) days following the issuance of the invoice or clarification inquiry. If you have previously received an estimated or final invoice and you have not paid the costs associated with that request, BCSO will not provide records for subsequent requests until such time as the past due amounts have been paid. After payment is received, the outstanding request will be resubmitted and processed as a new request. If a response to an inquiry for clarification is made after 30 days from the inquiry, the request will be resubmitted and processed as a new request. 2nd request

Mr. Dehn - Hello. Just a follow up on this final invoice. Do you still want the records? Please advise.

From: Brian Dehn

I apologize Susan. Things have been a little hectic over the last couple of weeks.
I sent a money order made out to the Brevard County Sheriffs Office for $11. 34 to:

Brevard County Sheriffs Office
Attn: Records - Susan
700 Park Avenue
Titusville, FL 32780

I sent it certified mail about a month ago. If you still haven't revived it, let me know and I'll contact the post office and try to figure out what happened.
Meanwhile I will arrange a different type of payment.

Once again, I am sorry for the late follow up.

Brian

From: Brevard County Sheriff

We received the payment. The second invoice for $9.15 is the final amount due.

From: Brian Dehn

I am going to mail a money order for $9.15 this evening. I was wondering if there was a more efficient way to make this payment. For example, could I come to 700 Park Avenue in Titusville with $9.15 in cash and pick up the file while I was there? Or could I call with a debit card? If you respond before I go get the money order, maybe we can utilize one of the other methods of payment.

Thank you for your time and patients. It is greatly appreciated.
Brian Dehn

From: Brevard County Sheriff

Either option will work. Cash payment in person is always an option, but I am unable to produce records on demand. Yes, we accept credit card/debit card payments over the phone. The person that answers or returns the call can process the payment.

From: Brian Dehn

Susan,
Thank you for you helpful response. I ended up overnight mailing the money order to you anyway. You should have it by now. I want to make sure I thank you for providing such great help so, Thaank you.

From: Brevard County Sheriff

Payment received. Your request will be processed.

From: Brevard County Sheriff

Mr. Dehn – Your records are being mailed out Friday, May 22.

Take care,
Susan
