On March 24, 2023, the State of New Jersey Office of the Attorney General issued a press release stating: "AG Platkin Announces 20 NJ Law Enforcement Agencies to Receive Grants Totaling $7 Million for Technology to Combat Gun Violence." The Bergen County Sheriff's Office is listed as a recipient of a $336,500 grant. Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, and reporting documents for the Bergen County Sheriff's $336,500 grant awarded by the Office of Attorney General, Department of Law and Public Safety and described in the press release linked above.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
