Pursuant to the Oregon Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

(1) All data generated and retained through use of Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPR) by Beaverton Police Department (BPD), specifically: License plate, date, GPS location, unit number generating the data, disposition and result of check of plate. Deliver complete dataset generated and provide in electronic form, spreadsheet or database.

(2) All policies, guidelines, manuals and/or instructions on department use of ALPR.

(3) Make and model of ALPRs in use by BPD.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Our official response was mailed to you earlier this week. In short, the Beaverton PD does not use ALPR's.

This request was completed a while back, but I later noticed the fee listed at the bottom of the attached form. I'm confused, though, because the info at the top of the page says that you were unable to comply with my request. So, do I owe you money? Please advise.
