Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

For the last five years, from 1/1/12 to the date this request is processed I seek annual expenditures on vehicle purchases, upgrades and maintenance. This is for any vehicles in operation by the department.

If there are any problems with the scope of my request, I would be happy to talk and reduce the time range or make other changes. Thank you.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Hi Curtis,

I wanted to follow up with you on your open records request. APD should be able to provide a dollar amount per year on the small amount of vehicles that we do purchase. For all of the vehicles mentioned in your request, you'll need to resubmit it through the City of Austin Fleet Services department. Fleet Services would have the information as they as they control replacement, purchase of new vehicles and maintenance costs (the actual costs). Please send your email to public.information@austintexas.gov<mailto:public.information@austintexas.gov>. I should have APD's responsive information to you by 5 p.m. on June 13, 2017.

Hi Curtis,

Below is responsive information to APD’s part of your request. We will now close out your request.

Below is the breakdown within each fiscal year for vehicle purchases/upgrades and maintenance costs that were not involved with City Fleet.

Since the request was to start 1/1/2012, the first three months of that fiscal year were removed. 2013-2016 are complete fiscal years and 2017 is year to date.
