To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1) All communications between the Office of the Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner (OCI) and Six Flags. This includes any email sent or received by any employee of the OCI in which an email address in the "To", "From", "CC", or "BCC" field is an email address affiliated with Six Flags. This also includes any official communications between the OCI and Six Flags via mail, facsimile, or web portal.
2) All records relating to operating permits and inspections of Six Flags rides, including, but not limited to, 1) notes or feedback issued to Six Flags after an inspection or permit 2) any permits applied for but not granted by the OCI, including the reasoning for such a denial, if applicable.
Please limit your search for records to the following date range: January 1, 2022, until the date upon which this request is first acknowledged.
For the purposes of this request:
a. the term "Six Flags" shall be understood to mean the owners and operators of the amusement parks Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water, including, but not limited to, their employees and representatives.
b. the term "rides" shall be understood to mean roller coasters, waterslides, flat rides, and all other amusements subject to inspection by the OCI.
c. email addresses affiliated with Six Flags are email addresses that contain the domain: “@sftp.com.”
If possible, please produce the records on a rolling basis; at no point should the search for – or deliberation concerning – certain records delay the production of others that the agency has already retrieved and elected to produce.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
