Dear Sir/Madam,

This is to acknowledge receipt of your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated 2/1/2023 referenced above. We are currently researching your request for records and our staff informs us that additional time is needed to complete the task.  Although we strive to provide requested information within the five (5) business-day time frame in accordance with FOIA, there are some instances where it is not practical to accomplish this.  Accordingly, we wish to inform you that as allowed under Virginia Code § 2.2-3704(B)(4), we will require seven (7) additional business-days to fulfill your FOIA request.  Additionally, in light of the ongoing public health emergency, we may need additional time beyond that extension to comply with your FOIA request.
