Pursuant to Alabama's Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Mr. Waltman,
The Department of Corrections requires that you follow the procedure to request public records as described in Administrative Regulation 023 (AR 023). I have attached the regulation and the public records request form for your convenience in connection with future requests. Both documents can be found on our website at www.doc.alabama.gov<http://www.doc.alabama.gov>.
However, regarding your request below for records related to the execution of death row inmates, I will advise you in advance that it is the position of the Department generally that execution related matters are confidential and outside the purview of a public records request. We cannot, therefore, comply with your request.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Janice Hughes
