Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Documents sufficient to show the number of times the Whittier Police Department has used the Los Angeles County Regional Identification System (LACRIS) to run facial recognition searches. I would settle for raw figures of the number of searches per month rather than have you produce voluminous documents to fulfill this request.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
*The requested documents will be made available to the general public via Muckrock, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. I am a published citizen-journalist with articles in the Long Beach Beachcomber and on FORTHE.org. My research has been featured by the Los Angeles Times, Long Beach Post, Knock-LA, and other local publications.

We have no responsive records to this request. It was also advised that LA County be contacted for further information. The LA County Registrar- Recorder contact is 800-201-8999.
