Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Copies of all RM-3 (Certificate of Records Destruction) forms submitted to the Library of Virginia by the Virginia State Police between January 2017 and the current date.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

The Library of Virginia is in receipt of your FOIA request, to wit:
Copies of all RM-3 (Certificate of Records Destruction) forms submitted to

We have done a preliminary check and estimate that this will run to
something over 300 pages of paper certificates that will need to be
photocopied or scanned. With the cost combined with staff time, we are
willing to fulfill the request as stated for a flat fee of $50.
If you would prefer to refine or narrow your search, that could reduce the
number of pages that would be responsive and the time involved, thereby
also reducing the cost.
Let me know how you would like to proceed, and we'll move forward.

Okay, it looks like we have 23 total files for a total size of about 110MB
- and my email won't allow messages more than 25MB in size. (Your incoming
email may stop things at a smaller threshold, but 25MB seems to be
common.)
It looks like some people in the Library have used FileZilla to send large
files, so I can get that installed. Or I can send the files to you in
multiple emails - probably 5 or so unless your incoming mail has a smaller
limit. Which would you prefer? I should be able to move the files on
Monday - I'm tied up in meetings today through Friday, 9-5.
