To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Metadata of all emails which are sent to, from, including being CCed or BCCed by Lt. Col. Tricia Powers and anyone with a DataWorks Plus email address (*@dataworksplus.com) between January 1, 2022 to March 13, 2023.
The specific metadata data points I'm interested in are: to address(es), from address, cc address(es), bcc address(es), sent date/time, received date/time, subject line, and names of all attachments. This request does not seek the contents of the emails themselves, and only the specified email metadata. Please provide me with the records in an Excel format.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Can you please provide an exact cost? At least $15 is vague since that could mean $15 or it could mean $1,500.

I am asking for a confirmation on the exact amount. If the exact amount is $15, yes, please proceed.

I can't give you an exact amount without actually processing your request. It would not be an efficient use of resources for our personnel to process requests only to have the requester say they do not want to pay the cost. Hence, the rationale for cost estimates. The $15.00 is a cost estimate. That being said, I do not expect the final cost to exceed that amount.

Once again, we would not know the exact amount unless we actually processed your request. We are not going to utilize our resources until we know for sure you are willing to pay. That is the whole idea of a cost estimate. Even though $15.00 is a cost estimate, I do not expect the final cost to go beyond that. If you like, we can begin processing and if it will exceed $15.00, we will stop and then notify you. How would you like to proceed?
