FOIA Request - AVZ (Ventura County District Attorney)

Hi Sherrie Hart,

I am assigned to this California Public Records Request (CPRA). I will provide you with a response regarding whether we have responsive records that are not except from the CPRA either this afternoon or Monday. We have thus far not found any records in our possession, but continuing to look. If we do possess records, I will have to ascertain whether they are exempt or not under the CPRA.

Subject: California Public Records Act Request: FOIA Request - AVZ (Ventura County District Attorney)
To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all records (including but not limited to booking documents, photographs, dash/body camera footage, reports, etc.) pertaining to fines, tickets, citations given to or DUI/arrests of Arthur Valenzuela Zavala (formerly Arthur Valenzuela), Oxnard City Councilmember.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

We have not found documents responsive to your request. If you have any more specific information about this individual, or charges he may have incurred, we can look further.

However, it may be helpful to know that even if we did have the records you seek they would be part of our investigative file, and, as would be specifically exempted from disclosure under Government Code section 6254, subdivision (f).
