To Whom It May Concern:
In response to your response, and pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I have adjusted my request, and hereby request the following records:
Please provide all records of cables and memos from Ambassador Peter Galbraith to the US State Department that mention Vitomir Miles Raguz in reference to the detention center (or “camp”) at Omarska in Bosnia-Hercegovina (BiH) during the period of September 1, 1992 through September 8, 1992.
In my personal interview with Ambassador Galbraith in 1997, he mentioned that he pressured Mate Boban, then President of the Bosnian-Croats, to disband the Bosnian-Croat camps (of which Omarska was one). During the aforementioned time period Mr. Raguz was a Special Adviser to the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN and as such would have participated in the diplomatic discussions between Mr. Boban and the U.S.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Joseph Tripician
