Dear FOIA Officer:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Technical reports on the MTU 6R890 and MTU 883 engines, particularly data regarding fuel consumption (for JP-8 and ASTM–D975), mean time between failures, power output, torque curves, and heat generation.
Some of this information has already been published to some extent: http://www.baesystems.com/page/BAES_154712/gcv-the-hybrid-difference
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest, given that the Ground Combat Vehicle has been an object of interest to those who follow U.S. military procurement plans. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your efforts and cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
I show this request as a duplicate to one you submitted on 30 Jan 2014. With the limited information you have given me I am having trouble identifying which office would have this information. I have an inquiry in TARDEC and I am waiting for a response.
Please be advised that this request is now administratively closed and there were no assessable fees associated with this request
