Re: Freedom of Information Act Request

Dear Ms. McFadden:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request copies of the following records:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

1. Maintenance requests, created or updated since January 1, 2017, relating to the display or relocation of any attorney general portraits.

2. Any records, including electronic messages, sent to, received by, or in possession of the Office of the Attorney General relating to the display or relocation of the portraits of attorneys general within the RFK building.

In order to help to determine my status to assess fees, you should know that I am a representative of the news media affiliated with the ThinkProgress news site, and this request is made as part of a news gathering activity and not for commercial use.

As the FOIA requires, please release all reasonably segregable nonexempt portions of documents. Such records are relevant for public oversight of works of art of historical and national value.

I request a waiver of all fees for this request. Disclosure of the requested information to me is in the public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the activities of the government and is not primarily in my commercial interest.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions regarding this request, please contact me at laurel.raymond@gmail.com. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
