This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Internal Office of Personnel Department reports on the data breach that that was first announced in June 2015 including reports making initial estimates on number of victims of the breach.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

At present, OPM is still in the discovery mode in trying to determine the full effect of the breach. Information is provided to the public on our OPM website with daily updates. Please go to this site to see responses to a lot of your questions. The report is updated as more information is obtained.

The updated Cybersecurity FAQs are now live on OPM.gov https://www.opm.gov/news/latest-news/announcements/frequently-asked-questions/. You may have to refresh your screen by selecting [Ctrl + F5] simultaneously several times to view the latest updates.
