I am requesting access to records in possession or control of CalGEM for the purposes of inspection and copying pursuant to the California Public Records Act, California Government Code § 6250 et seq. (“CPRA”), and Article I, § 3(b) of the California Constitution. The specific records I seek to inspect and receive copies of are:

Notices of violation, including related addendums, issued to oil field operators for oil field surface expressions between April 1, 2019, and December 31, 2022.

Notices of violation, including related addendums, for spills or crude oil or produced water between Jan. 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request be filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
