Re: Freedom of Information Act Request NGC16-058
Mr. Peck:
This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated November 3, 2015. Your request was received in this office on November 5, 2015 and assigned the above internal tracking number, in addition to the tracking number in FOIAonline: NARA-NGC-2016-000081.
In your request, you are seeking access to “A list of sites, repositories, indexes, or other responsive materials regarding linkage and effective utilization of existing agency databases of records that have been declassified and publicly released, as required to be maintained by the Director of the Information Security Oversight Office,” as well as “a list of agency heads providing this information to or on behalf of the Director of the Information Security Oversight Office as required by Executive Order 13292.”
I have consulted with a declassification policy subject matter expert from the Information Security Oversight Office.  He tells me that the provisions from Executive Order 12958 and its 13292 amendment concerning the coordination of declassification databases by ISOO were never implemented.  He is further aware of no current activity for that function, now that EO 13292 has been superseded by EO 13526.  There are therefore no records responsive to your request.
This completes the processing of your request.
If you are not satisfied with our action on this request, you have the right to file an administrative appeal either through FOIAonline or in writing. If in writing please address your appeal to the Deputy Archivist (ND), National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland 20740. Your appeal should be received within 60 calendar days of the date of this letter and it should explain why you think this response does not meet the requirements of the FOIA. Both the letter and the envelope should be clearly marked “Freedom of Information Act Appeal.” All written correspondence should reference the tracking number NGC16-058.
Sincerely,
