This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

My name is Marcia Chatelain and I'm a professional historian and professor at Georgetown University. I am writing a book about McDonald's in minority communities between 1968-1990. I am requesting information on any small business loans granted to minority McDonald's franchisees in Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Cleveland, New York, or St. Louis during this time.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

The report is in excel format, which allows individuals to sort the data by each category listed. The information contained in the report is for the period 1/1/90 to the current month minus 30 days.
