From: AFL

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All records mentioning any evidence of systemic barriers that prevent any Americans from accessing unemployment benefits based on their race, age, ethnicity, language proficiency, disability status, geographic location, or other systemic barrier.
For purposes of this request, these terms have the same meaning as they are used in the Department's News Release of Feb. 9, 2023, available at: https://www.dol.gov/newsroom/releases/eta/eta20230209-0.

Responsive records will include any record in a system of records maintained by the Department of Labor or the Employment And Training Administration that: 1) mention any systemic barrier in place in Connecticut, New Jersey, or Oklahoma, OR 2) mention any systemic barrier to unemployment benefits identified in previously "announced award of more than $180 million in funds to 35 states and the District of Columbia."

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

AFL
