Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

- the Database Schema for the eGMS grants management system used by the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the schema for any other databases that track amounts in NEH grants.

For Preservation/Access Projects, Digital Humanities Start-Up Grants, and Digital Humanities Advancement Grants awarded 2010-2022:

- Indirect cost rates in the budgets for funded ODH grants, along with the standard grant identifier

- Any available descriptions of the grant rate included in the budget (such as "research," "other sponsored projects," "off campus research," etc.).

- Accepted indirect cost rates for funded ODH grants, along with the standard grant identifier, where the indirect cost rate was changed form the initial budget

If it is not possible to extract the data about indirect costs rates, please send proposed and accepted budgets for awarded grants from 2010-2022.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

From: National Endowment for the Humanities

Hello Ms. Dombrowski,

I am following up on our August 5, 2022 phone conversation regarding your FOIA request 22-43.

NEH received your initial email on July 29, 2022, wherein you requested "[f]or Preservation/Access Projects, Digital Humanities Start-Up Grants, and Digital Humanities Advancement Grants awarded 2010-2022: Indirect cost rates in the budgets for funded ODH grants, along with the standard grant identifier. Any available descriptions of the grant rate included in the budget (such as "research," "other sponsored projects," "off campus research," etc.). Accepted indirect cost rates for funded ODH grants, along with the standard grant identifier, where the indirect cost rate was changed form the initial budget. If it is not possible to extract the data about indirect costs rates, please send proposed and accepted budgets for awarded grants from 2010-2022."

During our phone conversation on August 5, 2022, you modified your request to prioritize the indirect cost rate information (as described above) of 10 grants awarded in 2010 from each of the following five programs: Digital Humanities Advancement Grants, Digital Humanities Start Up Grants, Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections, Preservation Assistance Grants for Smaller Institutions, and Research and Development. You further specified that you would provide NEH a list of the fifty grant applications you are interested in so that we may begin processing your request.

Because we did not receive the list form you, we assume you are no longer interested in the records you requested. Per federal regulations, if we do not hear from you by October 1, 2022, we will close out your FOIA request. After the close-out date, if you wish to request any additional records under the Freedom of Information Act, you may submit a new request.

For further assistance and to discuss any aspect of your FOIA request, you may contact the analyst who processed your request or our FOIA Public Liaison, at 202-606-8322 or gencounsel@neh.gov<mailto:gencounsel@neh.gov>. If you contact NEH about this request, please reference the request tracking number, which is 22-43.

Sincerely,

Jessica Graves
