To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am requesting images, video, digital orthophotos, panoramic images and 3D models created in drone flyovers of the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge in August 2019.

This mission was disclosed in a log of unmanned aerial vehicle missions released via a previous FOIA request. The remote pilots in command are listed as Teague Mercer and R. Allen Gilbert Jr. The log says that "Video or still images, Digital Orthophoto, DEM" were collected for "Multi-spectral mapping" and a "panoramic image of bison enclosure."

I ask that all of the assets gathered be released.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Ben Welsh

It appears you are seeking to make a FOIA request, but you sent your request via email rather than using one of the written forms of submission listed on the Department’s FOIA website, https://www.doi.gov/foia, or utilizing physical or facsimile addresses of an appropriate FOIA contact, located at https://www.doi.gov/foia/contacts. Per our regulations, your request cannot be processed until you resubmit it utilizing one of the written forms of submission noted above. See 43 C.F.R. § 2.3(b).

We've transitioned to FOIA Online https://foiaonline.gov/foiaonline/action/public/home, and recommend requesters create an account on FOIA Online. This allows requesters to track progress, search other FOIA request, access related released records and more.

If you have any questions about our response you may contact Matt Sullivan or Stacey Cummins, by email at fwhq_foia@fws.gov<mailto:fwhq_foia@fws.gov>.
